POTD: Walkerswood Foods

Whether you're interested in Jamaican food from the point of view of a diner or a chef, we think you'll enjoy the Walkerswood Jerk Country Tour. The tour, which takes place at the Walkerswood factory near Ocho Rios, includes a look at the many plants that play a role in Jamaican cuisine and a visit to Mother Thyme's Spice Garden where "Mother Thyme" (above) will explain how local plants have historically been used both in terms of health and cooking on the island. A visit to the factory itself includes a chance to taste many of the sauces and condiments made here.
