Sandals Named the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Brand

For the 14th year in a row, Sandals was named the Caribbean's top hotel brand at the 14th Annual World Travel Awards.

Within Jamaica, other top honors earned by Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts included:

• World’s Leading All-Inclusive Company – Sandals Resorts International (12th year)
• World’s Leading Family All-Inclusive – Beaches Resorts (10th year)
• Caribbean’s Leading Resort - Royal Plantation Ocho Rios, Jamaica (2nd year)
• Jamaica’s Leading Resort – Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa
• Jamaica’s Leading Spa Resort – Royal Plantation Ocho Rios, Jamaica

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 for the purpose of acknowledging and celebrating achievements in all areas of the world’s travel and tourism industry. This year’s voting campaign reached a total of 167,000 travel professionals worldwide, including 110,000 travel agents in over 200 countries around the world. Nominations for this year’s World Travel Awards were based on the previous year’s voting.
