JamaicaTripper Video: Drive to Nine Mile
Port Maria, Jamaica

The best way to visit Bob Marley's birthplace and mausoleum, located in the community of Nine Mile, is with a tour aboard Chukka Caribbean's Zion Bus Line. The country-style bus, painted in bright colors and lined with reggae photos inside, moves to the reggae beat as it travels back into the countryside to Marley's birthplace. The tour is a very good bargain, priced at about half of what a taxi charges to travel from Ocho Rios to Nine Mile. The tour includes hotel pickup in the area, a stop for patties on the way up, a full lunch on the way back, two beers, rum punches, or sodas, and admission to the Bob Marley Centre and Mausoleum. The tour takes just about all day and is an excellent option both for Marley fans and for those who wouldl like to get out and ride through the countryside.
