Shopping in Montego Bay

Montego Bay is home to many malls (remember, this is the island's second largest city) but several are of particular interest to travelers:

Half Moon Village
Located east of Half Moon Resort
This open-air mall is for some really serious shopping including plenty of bling at numerous jewelry stores. The mall's Bob Marley Experience sells many Marley items and is a good stop for reggae fans.

Holiday Inn Shopping Centre
North Coast Hwy. across from the Holiday Inn Sunspree
We've always enjoyed shopping at this mall for inexpensive buys: crafts, clothing, and more.

Sangster International Airport
Sure, there have always been shops in the Montego Bay airport but not like this: the airport is now home to the island's largest mall. Prices are pretty good and the selection is excellent and ranges from duty-free jewelry and cameras to liquor, woodcarvings, and jerk sauces. Liquor and spice prices are as good as you'll find anywhere on the island.

The Shoppes at Rose Hall
Located across from Rose Hall Great House, this high-end shopping mall is still under construction (as of August 2007). Plans call for it to include duty free shops as well as souvenir stores as well as a coffeehouse and restaurant.
