Scuba Diving in Kingston, Jamaica

Because of the city's cultural opportunities and busy business atmosphere, the opportunities for scuba diving are sometimes missed here. You'll find several popular sites including wreck dives and reefs.

Dive Sites:

Cayman Trader. Appropriate for all levels of divers, this wreck of a former merchant trade vessel is covered with sea life; look for nurse sharks as well. Depth: 33-35 feet

The Edge. This is an advanced dive wtih good visibility and great photo opportunities. Depth: over 100 feet

Texas Wreck. This US naval ship was sunk here in 1944; along with the ship, look for black coral. This is an advanced dive. Depth: over 100 feet

Wreck Reef. This site has both natural and man-made attractions; don't miss the old cannons nearby. Depth 50 to 80 feet

Note: recreational diving in the historic Port Royal area is prohibited.
