Newspapers and Broadcast Media in Jamaica

The largest island newspaper is Kingston’s Jamaica Gleaner, a daily. The paper is distributed at grocery stores around the island; you can also see selected stories on-line. The Jamaica Observer is published daily and serves as the afternoon paper.

Radio stations include HOT 102 FM, Irie FM (105.1, 105.5, 107.1, 107.3, 107.7), KLAS FM (89.5, 89.1, 89.9), POWER 106 FM, FAME FM (95.7, 92.7, 91.5, 98.1, 95.7, 95.3, 95.9) and Radio Jamaica (94.5, 94.1; AM 550, AM720). Irie FM is the only dedicated reggae station.

Two television stations serve the island: CVM Television (channel 4 in Kingston, channel 11 in Montego Bay) and JBC (channels 7 and 11 in Kingston, channel 10 in Montego Bay).
