July Festivals in Jamaica

Negril Carnival, Negril

Join in the fun with parades, concerts, mento band competitions and more. Late July and early August. This carnival is on a smaller scale than the blow-out in Kingston, but its still great fun.

Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest, Montego Bay

One of the largest musical events on the island. This extravaganza draws local and international talent. Sumfest is one of the top music events in the Caribbean!

Portland Jerk Festival, Port Antonio

Formerly held at Boston Beach, this event outgrew that venue and today is staged at Folly Point. It features jerk and more jerk as well as live music.

Columbus Regatta, Puerto Seca Beach, Discovery Bay

This annual event includes all sorts of watersports activities – fishing tournament, swim races, diving competitions, triathlon, windsurfing, and more.

Little Ochi Seafood Carnival, Alligator Pond

Held the second Sunday in July, this festival features Jamaican cooking--which in this part of the island means fresh from the Caribbean seafood.
