Grand Lido Negril Plans Epicurean Escape

Now in its 10th year, the AAA Four Diamond Grand Lido Negril Resort & Spa is making plans for its annual Epicurean Escape. This year's event will feature the Queen of England's Personal Chef. Royal Chef Darren McGrady, who spent 11 years serving the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace and four years as private chef to Princess Diana and her family at Kensington Palace, is now a private chef in Dallas and teaches cooking classes; he's also the author of Eating Royally.

The Event: The Epicurean Escape will feature:

• a full schedule of interactive cooking classes with McGrady
• classes with the resort’s own Executive Sous chef, Gary Robertson
• an all-star line-up of guest chefs and sommeliers from across the U.S, Canada and the Caribbean
• daily wine seminars
• mixology classes
• nightly galas
• a white-gloved seven course formal dinner showcasing signature dishes by the guest chefs with guided wine pairings
